101 DALMATIANS
Year: 1996
A Great Dane has a cameo in the park

A live action version of Dodie Smith\'s novel about dognapped Dalmatian puppies. In this version, a natural ear Harlequin Dane is seen briefly in the part at the beginning of the film where Pongo and Perdita meet.

The film starred Glen Close, Jeff Daniels, Joely Richardson, and Hugh Laurie. 230 dalmatian puppies and 20 adult dalmatians were used during filming. Writer John Hughes made more money from this movie than any other movie in his career, because his contract gave him a piece of the merchandising profits.

Disney first adapted the book in 1961 for an animated feature.
